Feed Mill Production Supervisor

Welcome to Hunter Nutrition! We are hiring a Feed Mill Production Supervisor for our plant in Brookston, Indiana, just north of West Lafayette, who is responsible for livestock feed production and the day-to-day operations of the feedmill. In this role you will be a working manager who is responsible for manufacturing feed, quality control, medication tracking, adhering to FDA and USDA mandated procedures, shipping & receiving, inventory control, customer service, employee management/supervision, and equipment/plant maintenance. The candidate is involved with scheduling, ingredient receiving, shipping and repair contractors/mill wrights.

We are a specialized feed manufacturer. Our 58,000 sq ft plant manufacturer’s texturized, pelleted, and mineral/premix feeds. We primarily ship to 13 mid-western states, but we also have a few customers in distant states. Our customer base is made up of individuals and companies looking for higher fortified, better quality nutritional products.

We offer good day shift hours of about 7am to about 5:30pm Monday thru Friday. Off most weekends and holidays. Occasionally orders demand that we work late or on a Saturday.

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of feed mill or other production experience plus farming and/or agri-business experience or background is a plus.
• 2+ years of supervision and/or management experience.
• Mechanical abilities and an interest in machinery.
• A positive attitude, quick learner, a good work ethic, attention to detail, and good attendance.
• Ability to lift 50 pound bags of feed and able to climb heights up to 100ft when necessary.
